WHAT THE EYE DOESN'T SEE

One morning, my good friend Donald Taylor shared with me how a close friend of his had started journaling — and how it changed his life. As Donald explained it, something he said hit my spirit. That same day, I felt led to start journaling myself.

My wife Debra and I had been talking about peace, so I prayed and asked the Father to walk me through this journey. I must say — journaling has changed my life. It has helped me examine myself, grow in my Christian walk, and strengthen my mental health. Through this process, the Father touched my heart and told me to share this gift with others, especially with men.

Men often don’t talk about our lives, our struggles, or what we’re dealing with. But this journal gives us a place to talk to God, to talk to ourselves, and to write honestly about what’s going on inside. My theme for the year is Peace, and I follow it with Bible verses that I apply to my daily life.

I’ve designed a website, purchased journals and pens to give out, and I’m trusting the Lord to move through this Men’s Journal movement. I will also be opening a men’s conversation on Zoom so we can grow together.

First, I want to thank God. Second, I want to thank the friend who encouraged Donald Taylor to start journaling. And I want to thank Donald Taylor for sharing it with me and planting the seed.

To God be the glory.
